We’ve just got back from Barcelona – Primavera Sound festival where we played on Saturday. I wish all festivals were as good as this one, though the free drink thing for bands is maybe a bit dangerous… Friday night we all stayed out to see El Guincho and the more we drank the easier it became to forget that we had to get up for sound check the next morning. El Guincho is great though and shots of coffee, vodka and red bull seemed great too at the time.
It was an amazing festival though, held by the sea in this huge wierd paved area with stone seats and big curved walls. I don’t really know what goes on there for the rest of the year, or what it was originally built for. We took advantage of our passes to watch Dinosaur Jr and Shellac from the side of the stage, and I finally got to meet 808 State after being a fan for about 18 years!
